THE STORY OF POPPI ITALIAN LEATHER

Inspired by a mother/son trip to Italy, our first website, BellezzaImports.com, was launched in 2006, offering Italian leather handbags, briefcases, messenger bags, and wallets of unparalleled quality.

In 2012 we opened our flagship boutique, POPPI Italian Leather, in Rochester, MN. Home to the world-renowned Mayo Clinic. Our location is in the heart of Rochester, steps away from the clinic in the Shops at University Square. In addition to leather goods, we have since added apparel along with Murano Glassware & Jewelry. In 2016, we updated our website, now Poppiitalianleather.com.

Twice yearly, we travel to Milan, the fashion capital of the world, to attend trade shows and bring home the latest styles. Over the years, we have become well acquainted with the family-run businesses we purchase our leather goods from, and we’ve had the opportunity to tour their production facilities throughout the Italian countryside. HISTORY OF THE MURANO GLASS

Venetian glass is hand-blown in Venice, primarily on the island of Murano, and known for being colorful, elaborate, and skillfully made. It is believed that glassmaking in Murano originated in the 8th century with significant influence from Asia. Each piece brings with it the history and enchanting beauty of hand-blown Murano Glass. All our pieces are lead-free and guaranteed dishwasher safe.
